The USS Nashville CL43 earned10 battle stars during the war, more than any other Brooklyn Class cruiser.  She served from the U-boat infested North Atlantic to the Japanese dominated Pacific, from isolated and frigid Alaska to liberated China.  She returned General MacArthur to the Philippines, had torpedoes pass under her hull, was bombed and suffered a devastating Kamikaze attack.  She never wavered in her duty, against all odds.
